Have a busy schedule or find that the Birth Guidance 4-Week Series doesn’t fit into your timeline before your due date? This class is the perfect solution. It offers a condensed version of the 4-Week Series, providing the same evidence-based, hands-on education all in one focused day.

ALL CLASSES INCLUDE A SUPPORT PERSON

Let me be your guide. I believe in your ability to give birth, even if you’re not quite there yet, that’s why I’m here for you. This class supports you through every step of preparing for your new bundle of joy. Whether you’re planning a hospital, home, or birth center delivery, this is a judgment-free space where your voice, fears, and thoughts are heard. I use hands-on activities and demonstrations to help you engage with and retain the information.

• How to prepare your mind, body, and environment during pregnancy

• The meaning of informed consent

• How to advocate for yourself

• Overcoming fear and trusting the birth process

• The normal, natural process of labor and birth, and the health-care practices that support it

• Changes during late pregnancy and the stages of labor

• How to recognize the beginning of labor

• A variety of coping strategies for managing pain in labor

• The importance of labor support

• Movement and positioning during labor and birth

• Medical interventions: their indications, risks, and alternatives

• How to develop a birth plan

• Breastfeeding, newborn care, and more

You’ll leave this course feeling confident, inspired, and excited for birth and beyond.

This class typically takes place in the comfort of your own home. If that’s not possible, a friend or family member’s home is perfectly fine. I can teach in any environment that has a wall outlet and either WiFi or cell phone service. I bring all the necessary supplies with me. You’re also welcome to invite additional support people, such as parents, in-laws, or siblings, especially if they’ll be part of your birth team. The class may also be held in-office on select weekends.

This course may fulfill the education requirements of the Mercy Birthing Center; however, please confirm with them if this is the only class you can fit into your schedule.

​

Due to limited availability, early registration is recommended. I suggest scheduling your class no later than 37 weeks of pregnancy. While most recommendations suggest beginning childbirth education around 27 weeks, you are welcome to take the Fast-Track Class earlier in your pregnancy. Every Birth Guidance class is designed to be memorable and impactful. With The Ultimate Birth Guide workbook and lifetime access to the online student portal, you’ll always have the tools and resources to refresh and apply what you’ve learned no matter when you take the class.

Location Policy

Classes may be held at Glasswing Massage or in your home. A one-time $60 facility fee applies if the series is held at Glasswing. This covers the use of the private, comfortable space.

There is no additional fee for in-home sessions within 25 miles of Wentzville.
For homes outside this radius, a small travel fee will apply.
